Irancell Excels Again in Iran’s Digital Public Relations Ranking

The special National trophy of the “Top Manager Star in Communications” was granted to Irancell CEO Dr. Bijan Abbasi Arand in the 10th “Iranian Public Relations Stars Festival”. Irancell also received the special award of the “National Star in Top-ranking Digital Public Relations” in this festival.‌‌    

According to Irancell PR, the closing ceremony of the 10th Iranian PR Stars Festival and commemoration of the National Public Relations Day was held on Saturday morning May 20, 2023 concurrent with Public Relations Week at Shahid Qandi Conference Hall of the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology. Deputy Minister for Press and Communications of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance Farshad Mehdipour and a number of Iranian and international journalists were present in this ceremony. The message of the president of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA) was also read out during the ceremony.‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌   

In this festival, by vote of the jury, the special National trophy of the “Top Manager Star in Communications” was awarded to Irancell Chief Executive Officer Bijan Abbasi Arand, who achieved to get the highest score in the specialized appraisal carried out in this regard for having a supportive attitude and brilliant performance in communications sphere and for displaying a very active and social outstanding personality. Likewise, Irancell received the special trophy of “Top Digital Public Relations” for the third successive year for its achievements in electronic and network communications spheres and excellence in digital public relations.‌‌      

The message of IPRA President Anne-Gret Iturriaga Abarzua was also read out during the ceremony.‌   In her message, IPRA President called public relations “a way to manage decision making” which paves the way for creating relationships among organizations and their audiences by means of sending information through ethical and reliable methods and in this way leading to more benefits for both.‌‌‌

Further in her message, she emphasized that such a definition of public relations which stresses on “decision-making”, “creating beneficial relationships”, “communication” and “ethics” will only be realized when public relations plays the role of “communications management”; otherwise, it will be reduced to an “implementer of communications” and would fail to attain the desired status of this profession.‌‌‌‌‌‌

During the introduction of the best of the 10th Festival of Iran’s Public Relations Stars, by vote of the jury, the special National trophy of the “Top Manager Star in Communications”, was awarded to Irancell Chief Executive Officer Bijan Abbasi Arand who achieved to get the highest score in the specialized appraisal in this regard for having a supportive attitude and brilliant performance in communications sphere and for displaying a very active and social outstanding personality.‌‌‌

On the awarded recognition plaque, addressing MTN Irancell CEO, the following words have been written:  This special National trophy is awarded to you for being chosen as the “Top Manager Star in Communications” by vote of the jury upon the appraisal carried out by them. Your social character, demeanor, interactive personality and effective role in improvement of relationships with stakeholders and ambitious attitude toward communications, public relations, media and public opinion has always been apparent and productive. On the other hand, the Public Relations of your company has always enjoyed your intellectual and practical support which has helped it to promote further.‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌    

In another part of the festival, the special trophy for the “Top Iranian Digital Public Relations”, in the Persian calendar year 1401, was bestowed to Irancell Corporate Affairs General Manager, Saeid Askari for the third successive year by vote of the jury, because of the excellence of Irancell Public Relations in various fields and achievements made by it in electronic and network communications as well as in digital public relations spheres.‌‌‌‌   Irancell public relations has always used its best endeavors to not only fulfill the aims and objectives of Irancell as “the first and greatest digital operator” and “the first 5G provider and record holder of high-speed Internet” in Iran, but also improve Irancell’s attitude towards the public opinion, accountability to the media and management of the relationship with stakeholders and accomplish Irancell goals in assisting to develop a digital economic ecosystem as part of its responsibilities in communications and media.‌‌‌‌‌‌
